ExtenDOS 4 Support

Current version

The current version of ExtenDOS 4 is version 4.05: click here to download an update from earlier versions. Version 4.05 contains bug fixes related to handling session-at-once; it also provides increased compatibility for some drives with buggy firmware.

Translated resource (.RSC) files

The following translations of ExtenDOS 4 resource files have been supplied to us through the generosity of our users. They are being made available to owners of ExtenDOS 4 on an 'as-is' basis: you use them at your own risk.

Although we believe that the translations are substantially correct, we cannot guarantee their accuracy, due to our limited knowledge of the languages concerned. If you discover an error, please let us know so that we can correct it.

If you have any difficulties running ExtenDOS 4 programs using these versions of the .RSC files, please reinstall the distribution versions before contacting us with a problem report.

Problems

There is one known problem in ExtenDOS 4 at this time: the install program (INSTALL.APP) may fail to detect your CD/DVD recorder correctly. If this happens, please contact us by email and we will provide a workaround. This problem will be fixed in the next update.

If you encounter any other problem, and you do not have v4.05 installed, please update.
