The current version of CD Writer Suite is version 4.0, which contains the following programs:
| CDbackup v4.0 | |
| CD InScriptOr v4.0 (with MKISOFS v4.0) | |
| CDwriter v4.0 |
If you wish to upgrade from CD Writer Suite v3, please see how to order.
Using CD InScriptOr to add sessions to an ISO9660 CD created on another system is not officially supported, but is believed to work in most cases. However, if the existing session was created under Mac OS, and you attempt to merge a new session with the existing one, this process will not work properly. This is due to the presence of "associated files" on the CD, corresponding to the Mac's resource forks.
This restriction may be lifted in a future version of CD InScriptOr.
There is one known problem in the CDwriter program which only occurs when using the session-at-once feature. If the input includes the last track of a CD, and the track has silence at the end of it, the copy will not include the silence. This situation most frequently occurs when CDwriter is copying an entire CD; in such a case, the copy can be up to two seconds shorter than the original and, although it will sound the same, it won't be recognised by the freedb database because of its differing length. This problem will be fixed in the next update to CD Writer Suite.
If you encounter any other problems, before contacting us, please ensure you are running the latest versions of both CD Writer Suite and ExtenDOS. If you have updated to the latest versions and are still having problems, you may contact us for assistance by email (preferred) or telephone.
